Cape Centre for the Rehabilitation Of Wildlife
The Cape Centre for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife (Cape C.R.O.W.) came into existence in May 2001, and is an affiliate of The Centre for Rehabilitation of Wildlife located in Durban.
Cape C.R.O.W. has been involved in the rescue, rehabilitation and release of a wide variety of wildlife such as
- Injured and/or orphaned birds
- Spotted Eagle Owls
- Kestrels
- Blue Cranes
- Herons
- Barn Owls
- Tortoises
- Small buck
- Cape clawless otters
- Meerkat
- Bat-eared Foxes
- Caracal
- Black back Jackal

have all received loving care until they were healthy and/or mature enough for release. For those animals who sometimes arrive with injuries that are beyond healing and who require euthanasia, the staff of Cape C.R.O.W. always include a respect for the animal's spirit throughout the process.
The Manger is a small holding near Barrydale in the Klein Karoo and serves as the focal point for Cape C.R.O.W. It is located in an area that is prime Chacma Baboon habitat.
